Fábrica de Idiomas is a Spanish school situated in Cordoba, a World Heritage Site, in which Spanish language learning takes place through cultural immersion. We are a young and dynamic center with a very personal focus on the student. If you do not like large impersonal schools, Fábrica de Idiomas is a place for you. Nevertheless, we are not a traditional Spanish school. Our goal is that students, in addition to improving their knowledge of Spanish, get to know the city and participate in cultural life of Córdoba. This way, we want you to know Spanish culture, the lifestyle of the Spaniards and to feel the atmosphere of our city.

Fábrica de Idiomas offers Spanish courses at all levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced as well as linguistic and cultural immersion programmes. The courses include 20 hours of Spanish classes per week, each session of 55 minutes. Each course includes also the Culture Pack- cultural programme of 5 hours per week duration (going out of tapas, house parties, city tours, workshops, and more).

At the same time we offer specialized courses that let you combine learning Spanish with your passions: flamenco or Spanish guitar, Spanish cuisine, horse riding, creativity (art, theater, cinema, etc..). These are specialized classes with duration of 5 hours per week. Each course of our offer is scheduled according to the city's cultural calendar. In this way you can participate in events related to the subject of each specialized course and take advantage of the cultural offer of the city (pej. Fábrica flamenco courses, Spanish classes combined with flamenco or Spanish guitar classes, are organized when in Córdoba there are fiestas related to the world of flamenco such as La Noche Blanca del Flamenco, The Cordoba Guitar Festival).

Our programs are specially designed to emphasize communication and Spanish culture as the basic elements of language skills. Classes are taught in groups of up to 8 people and are based on innovative methods promoted by the European Union: practical exercises, scenes of daily life, character building exercises, role play, trivial, stories created by participants (communicative method). Each session counts with elements of Spanish culture. Within each programme our Culture Program is included- 5 hours a week programme of cultural immersion and cultural activities.

With this approach you can take an active part in cultural events of Cordoba. After a few days of classes you will notice what satisfaction it gives to understand and to be understood. You will chat easily with your housemates or Spanish families with whom you are staying.

• Español 20. Spanish through the culture This is a perfect modality for students who need to learn or improve their Spanish. During classes we introduce you to the world of Spanish culture, traditions and cuisine and guarantee the contact with everyday language. We organize tourist visits, going out for tapas, walks around Córdoba and house parties. It is an excellent course to make considerable progress and participate in cultural activities in Córdoba. Includes: 4 hours of Spanish sessions a day + 5 hours of cultural activities per week Duration: minimum 1 week • Fábrica de español profesional. Spanish course with traineeship in companies This modality consists of an intermediate or advanced level Spanish course and professional traineeship in Spanish companies from different sectors. We provide vocational guidance, assistance in selecting work placement, help in CV editing and preparation for the interview, coaching during the entire stay and assessment of traineeship. Programme I: 2 weeks of Spanish (40 hours of Spanish sessions) + 10 hours of cultural activities + 4 hours of consultation + minimum 4 weeks of professional traineeship Duration: minimum 6 weeks Programme II: 4 weeks of Spanish (80 hours of Spanish sessions) + 20 hours of cultural activities + 8 hours of consultation + minimum 4 weeks of professional traineeship Duration: minimum 8 weeks SPECIALIZED SPANISH COURSES • Fábrica flamenca. Spanish language and flamenco For amateurs of flamenco dance or Spanish guitar who want to combine music and the art of dancing with studying Spanish. Each course of our calendar is prepared according to great flamenco events taking place in Córdoba and Andalusia. Spanish language classes contain elements of the flamenco tradition and history which are later used during flamenco shows, classes and concerts. You will also participate in flamenco or Spanish guitar courses with professional teachers. Includes: 4 hours of Spanish sessions a day + 5 hours of flamenco/Spanish dance/guitar per week + cultural activities (including flamenco show) Duration: minimum 2 weeks • Fábrica ecuestre. Spanish language and horse riding Programme for horse enthusiasts. You will be able to combine Spanish lessons with horse riding. In addition, a unique attraction - a performance in which the central role is played by purebred Andalusian horses. Includes: 4 hours of Spanish sessions a day + 5 hours of specialized classes per week + cultural activities (including spectacle: “Passion and Spirit of the Andalusian horse”) Duration: minimum 2 weeks • Fábrica creativa. Spanish language and creativity Programme arranged according to the cultural offer of Córdoba and Andalusia. We focus on theatre, animation, cinema, art and poetry. We offer open-air performances on the patios and discussions about Spanish classic or contemporary cinema, sessions in summer cinema in the open air, comics or graffiti workshops. Includes: 4 hours of Spanish sessions a day + 5 hours of specialized classes per week (different programme according to the course type) + cultural activities Duration: minimum 2 weeks • Fábrica culinaria. Spanish language and cuisine If you are interested in Spanish gastronomy, we have a perfect solution. This course combines learning language with elements of Spanish cuisine. Discover the secrets of one of the best world’s cuisine. Try typical starters, prepare Andalusian tapas and learn the Spanish cooking art. Includes: 4 hours of Spanish sessions a day + 5 hours in Spanish kitchen per week + cultural activities Duration: minimum 1 week

The nearest Spanish airports are in Madrid, Seville, Málaga and Granada. Córdoba is situated no more than 2 hours away. We will be glad to suggest you the easiest and the cheapest way to get from your city to Córdoba.

Once booked the course, we´ll send you all the information you need to plan your journey and arrival at our academy. If you are not sure how to arrive, don´t worry, we can pick you up from the train or bus station. Our school is within 5-10 minute walking distance.

For the transfer from the airport, please contact the office to see the possibilities.

To book the students must complete the booking form (available on our website in the Conditions section) and send it together with the document of the first payment for the deposit. Once we receive confirmation of deposit payment, we will send the booking confirmation with all the course details and information on how to make the second payment.

PAYMENTS:

• 1st Payment: € 100 deposit when booking.
• 2nd Payment: the second instalment 15 days before the course starts.

* When booking with 15 or fewer days' in advanced, you should pay for the entire course and accommodation price at once.
* For participants from outside the UE countries that require visas to stay in Spain, the deposit is equal to 50% of the course price. The 2nd payment is made 15 days before the course starts.
