Juan Sebastian Elcano – Escuela de Español is specialized in teaching Spanish to foreigners. Located in the heart of Alicante, the school is surrounded by cosy cafes and bars and is only a 5-minute walk to the beautiful Postiguet beach. Honoring the name of our school, we aim to spread the Spanish language to all corners of the world as Spanish explorer Juan Sebastian Elcano did in his days. We offer a wide range of courses taught by qualified teachers using methods that will make learning Spanish fun and gets you to interact with Spanish culture in a natural and easy way.

We also have an accommodation service helping you to find a room during your stay. You can choose to live in an apartment shared with other students or, alternatively, we offer the experience of living in the home of a Spanish family. We also offer a wide range of activities that allows you to really enjoy your free time and experience Spanish culture at its very best. There is one thing more that the school cant offer but that the city does, and that is the amazing weather….

Our method is based on direct interaction between teachers and students. Our classes are very practical allowing you to speak Spanish within no time.
Our philosophy is that learning a language should be fun and natural.

During the course a variety of books will be used:

·Books of Spanish culture and tradition.
·Books of Spanish sayings and proverbs.

The program developed by our teachers as well as the material used in the courses are adapted to the levels recommended by the Instituto Cervantes.
