Spanish School general description
Letra Hispánica is a school of Spanish language and hispanic cultures and a center for advanced philological studies. Our academic and cultural offering is directed to all lovers of the ample universe of Hispanic cultures.
We offer our students, as well as participants in other programs, individual treatment that attends to special needs and requests.
Our teaching philosophy is based on the old motto "enseñar deleitando" ("to teach so that learning is enjoyable"). We want each student to acquire a theoretical knowledge in the classroom as well as knowledge based on experience in the real world.
That is why we promote personal contact with professors, intellectuals, writers and artists, in addition to other students from Salamanca.
The genuine regard we feel for Hispanic cultures initiates within us dedication and enthusiasm. We are committed to a vision without stereotypes.
We are located conveniently in the Peña Primera street, near the center of Salamanca which is full of monuments of great beauty and historical value. Our classrooms are located in the center of Salamanca, three minutes walking from the Main Square (Plaza Mayor), in a modern and spacious building with all services and amenities: air conditioning, computers connected to the internet with broadband and wifi, multi-media image and sound devices, elevated platform for wheelchairs...
Salamanca is known for its lively student life. Cultural and leisure centers, cafes, nightclubs, and bars, provide a unique experience to visitors. Therefore, we share the quote from Cervantes, also valid nowadays: “Salamanca enchanted the will to return to all those who the pleasantness of his housing have enjoyed ".
Salamanca was declared by the UNESCO " Heritage of the Humanity " and European Capital of the Culture in the year 2002.
