Our summer course for teenagers is designed to ensure that students enjoy their Spanish classes as much as they enjoy the rest of the course programme. Classroom activities are therefore varied and, where possible, involve tasks or games that make the learning process interesting and fun. The aim of the course is to develop the students' language skills in all areas, but the emphasis is on developing speaking and comprehension skills, so there are a lot of practical activities that involve a great deal of interaction. As we have students of many nationalities (see chart below), it is relatively easy to ensure that everyone uses Spanish to communicate. We also try to ensure that students get the most out of their visits to places of interest in and around Tarragona, so some class time is devoted to project work focused on the social programme activities.

The course consists of 3 hours of Spanish classes per day, in multinational groups, with stays from two to six weeks. The course includes a very full social programme of sports and other activities including local visits and excursions with all costs covered by the course fee. The course fee includes: • Airport transfer service on arrival and departure. • 3 hours of Spanish classes per day in multinational groups of up to 12 students. • All teaching materials, tests and certificates. • Accommodation as requested in family or residence. • Full board. • Full social programme of sports and other activities including local visits and excursions. • Local bus pass (if it is necessary for the students to take a bus from their family to the school). • Basic medical insurance.

Two types of accommodation are available:

1. Host Families - normally in shared rooms
2. Sant Jordi Student Residence - shared rooms

In both cases, the accommodation is with full board. Students with dietary restrictions or any other special needs are requested to make these known in advance.

Prices include a meeting and transfer service from Barcelona airport, from 08.00 to 22.00 (arrival time at the airport). If students need a transfer before 08.00 or after 22.00, or on other days, or from other airports, a supplementary fee of between 60 -200 euros per transfer will be charged.
