Spanish School general description
Courses in Spanish as a Foreign Language at the University of Zaragoza are run throughout the year in Zaragoza while in the summer they are transferred to the tourist resort of Jaca (Huesca) in the Pyrenees.
The University of Zaragoza has been a pioneer in teaching Spanish to foreign students since 1927. It has agreements with a number of public and private institutions around the world, working directly with various official bodies to promote the Spanish language (the Cervantes Institute, the Education Office of a number of Spanish embassies, the Aragon Regional Government, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport).
The University of Zaragoza is recognised worldwide, as is demonstrated by the high number of foreign students attending the various co-operation programmes in which it participates (Sócrates-Erasmus, Tempus, ALPA, Asia-Link, Leonardo, etc.).
Its Courses in Spanish, attended by more than 1,000 students a year and in which all teachers have a high philological expertise in teaching ELE, are integrated into these programmes and, in addition, they organise specific courses for foreign Universities which request them.
The headquarters of ELE Courses in Zaragoza is an Accredited Centre by the Instituto Cervantes and, also, it is the Official Examination Centre for the Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE) and for the test of "Conocimientos Constitucionales y Socioculturales de España" (CCSE).

Methodology in Spanish courses
Before the start of each course students take a level test (from beginner to advanced level). The number of places is limited. Interested students must NOT make any payments before receiving confirmation of their acceptance on the course.
The language elements used is as follows: Grammar, Conversation practice, Use of language , Tutorials.
These classes are complemented by lectures on Spanish culture and guided tours to the various momuments in the city.

Spanish courses in Universidad de Zaragoza
Courses adapted to all needs (each course has several levels, according to the needs of the group). We offer year courses, four-month courses (winter-spring), three-month courses (autumn) and intensive courses (all year long).
There is also a training course for teachers, organised jointly by the Cervantes Institute and the Courses in Spanish as a Foreign Language of the University of Zaragoza. This course provides the necessary grounding, enabling students on the course to focus their own education to teach Spanish as a foreign language
The enrolment fee includes teaching, material used in class and the attendance certificate.
