Sports in the Spanish schools: Fernando Alonso, the Formula 1 magician

Formula 1 is the most famous auto competition at an international level with successful drivers such as Juan Manuel Fangio, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher. A name has been added to this list years ago, and that is the name of a Spanish pilot that many students learning Spanish in Spain have heard of, Fernando Alonso.

It is the most famous and awarded Spanish pilot in the history of the best Auto racing category, he became Formula 1 champion on two occasions (in 2005 and 2006).

He was born in Oviedo in 1981 and from a very young age, when he was 3 years old, started driving a kart. At 7, he was champion of the junior Asturias championship and at 12 he became the champion of Spain. After being at the Nissan Formula and the 3000 Formula, he started F1 for the first time in the Minardi team in 2001.

In 2003, he started as an official pilot in the Renault team and that same year became the youngest pilot (at 21 years old) to achieve a pole position, a podium and a victory in Formula 1. In2005 the asturian pilot reached the top in Formula 1, when he won the World Championship in front of Kimi Räikkönen and Michael Schumacher. He received the Premio Príncipe de Asturias de los Deportes (Asturias Prince Prize of Sports) that same year.

Fernando Alonso won his second World Championship as part of the Renault team in 2006, after working with McLaren Mercedes (2007) and Renault again (2008-2009), he worked for Ferrari in 2010, season during which he finished runner up behind Sebastian Vettel.

This year, 2012, all students learning Spanish in Spain can enjoy the Formula 1 and watch Fernando Alonso on the Montmelo circuit in Barcelona and the urban circuit in Valencia.

    If you like practice spanish all the time, In special when visit south america, one step to learn spanish is doing events with childrens about anything for example, write, listen to music in spanish, speaking about your lifes. learn spanish is challenge for knowledge. for you
