Next June comes one of the favourite times for Spanish and for students who would like to come to Spain to learn Spanish, Summer. This season is one of the most attractive ones to undertake an intensive Spanish course, since it allows to learn and, at the same time, to enjoy the country.
There are many reasons that make Spain an ideal destination for students who decide to spend their summer holidays while undertaking an intensive Spanish course. The Mediterranean climate, the beaches or the atmosphere you experience in Spanish cities, are some of the things you can find during that time.
The Summer season always comes with a great number of festivities and festivals celebrated in all of Spain, many of them being declared of International Tourist Interest. The most famous one takes place in the city of Pamplona, the Sanfermines (7th to the 14th of July), which stands out mainly for its encierros de toros. Other festivities that stand out are the Hogueras de San Juan in Alicante (20th to 24th of June), the Tomatina de Buñol (29th of August) or the Fiesta de Santiago Apóstol in Compostela (25th of July). We also recommend the Feria de Málaga (13th to 20th of August), a celebration full of joy and entertainment.
This year the famous festival Rock in Rio is also celebrated in Madrid, it is a musical event of pop rock bringing together the most famous singers and bands of the international music scene. It takes place on the 29th and 30th of June and on the 5th,6th and 7th of July, and will count with artists such as Rihanna, Lenny Kravitz, David Guetta or the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Without a doubt, the Summer is an attractive time to undertake an intensive Spanish course in Spain, since you can enjoy and take part in many festivities and celebrations all over the country.
