Probably He is one of the best Spanish actors, Antonio Banderas became the best image of Spain in Hollywood. He started his career with a lot of work and humbleness thanks to Pedro Almodóvar, great director of Spanish cinema, who asked him to work for one of his films after seeing him in the theatre.

But his first big work inHollywoodcame in 1992 with the film “Philadelphia”, in which he shared the stage with Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington. After that (*) his career took off and he started to do big films in Hollywood, such as “Entrevista con el vampiro” (“Interview with the vampire”)starred by Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, “Evita” with Madonna and the film “Desperado” directed by Robert Rodríguez.

In 1998 he becomes Zorro, as he has the leading role in the movie “La Mascara del Zorro” (“The Mask of Zorro”) and, later, “La Leyenda del Zorro” (“The Legend of Zorro”), sharing the stage with Anthony Hopkins and Catherine Zeta-Jones. He also took part in the saga the “Sky Kids” and he is the cat’s voice in “Shrek”.

He tried directing in the film “Locos enAlabama” (“Crazy inAlabama”) in 1999 and in the Spanish film “El Camino de los Ingleses” in 2006. Antonio Banderas won his star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame in 2005, 16 years after arriving in theUnited States.
